On Tuesday 28.06, we had the pleasure to have three visitors from the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa: Professor Luca Berdondini and two of his postdoctoral fellows Matteo Vincenzi and Fabio Boi.

At first, we had a small welcome and introductory session with coffee.
Prof. Berdondini is a senior researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, where he leads the IIT-NetS3 laboratory. His research team focuses on the study and application of innovative neuroelectronic solutions for large-scale brain circuit interfaces with cellular resolution.
Fabio Boi is also the CTO of Corticale. Corticale is the first OEM (original equipment manufacturer) neurotech company dedicated to the development and production of implantable neuroelectronic CMOS devices, brain research instruments, and bioelectronic medical devices.

After the short welcome round, the guests presented their impressive research projects and products. Our laboratory also presented the current status of our research. This led to a lively discussion and an interesting exchange.
For lunch, which took place in the garden of our lab, Professor Danijela Gregurec joined us. Afterwards, the discussion continued in Prof. Del Vecchio’s office.
We were very pleased to welcome Prof. Berdondini and his team to our lab. Thank you very much for visiting us!

We hope to see you soon, arrivederci!
